Hi

My role as a mentor involves ensuring that young people receive the guidance they need, to enable them to move forward with accessing employment, training or education.

This is achieved through engagement, individualised support and providing information about opportunities that are available. I encourage and empower each young person to pursue their ambitions and achieve in their chosen career path.

I previously worked in further education, supporting students and apprentices. Advising them how to access appropriate progression routes, and encouraging and motivating them to persist when they faced challenges and barriers.

I look forward to working with you and helping you to identify and achieve your goals.

Hello!

I love to help young people discover their passion and I am here to help you find the opportunity that’s right for you so that you can reach your goals.

I have spent the last four years supporting adults and young people with learning disabilities to get jobs. Outside of work I like to grow fruit and veg on my allotment, teach yoga, go for walks and looking after my chickens.

I look forward to working with you

HI, I’m passionate about helping people find the right employment, training, or academic pathway going forward. I believe by taking a person centered approach when mentoring, this can help people identify their own strengths so they can meet their desired goals.

A mentor’s role should always be to help and support people throughout their career journey. Over the past 3 years I have worked with students within a special educational setting to help them prepare for further education and employment post 16. I have tutored Ks3 and ks4 students and have helped them prepare for GCSE or apprenticeships moving forward into neurotypical settings. I have extensive experience of being a keyworker for children and families. I hope I have helped them feel like they’ve been listened to, and made it easier for pupils to access all opportunities available to them throughout school.

Hello, I have recently joined the Community Learning and Skills Team as an Employability Engagement Worker and I am looking forward to working with you.

For the past three years I’ve worked in recruitment which involved talking people through pre-employment checks, induction training and sitting on interview panels. I am pleased to now be in a role where I can support young people to access suitable employment by encouraging them to attend our workshops and widen their skills.

In my spare time, I like to travel and experience new places as well as trips to the theatre.
